Judge's comment:
"This new home in the mid-south expresses the owners’ desire to provide a safe, secure home for themselves and their family in an environmentally sound way. The house incorporates unusual but efficient reverse brick veneer, small window-to-wall ratios, efficient zoning, northern windows and winter sun capture to a concrete slab floor, and reuse of materials such as bricks and some feature timbers. Overall it will provide the occupants with a home that will require minimal energy input while achieving good comfort conditions throughout the year."
